Types of GasNetworks Rebate Programs

GasNetworks is a nationally recognized collaboration of natural gas companies. GasNetworks serves about two million customers throughout New England, promoting energy efficiency and advanced natural gas technologies. • Home water heater. Certain hot water heaters, such as many tankless models and indirect water heaters, are eligible for rebates through GasNetworks. You can get a check back for $100, $400, $500, or $800 depending on the home water heater you install.
• Home thermostat rebates. Modern technology has created advanced home thermostats that can help eliminate wasted energy. New thermostats can save you 10% on energy bills and keep warmth within two degrees of the correct temperature. There are two pieces of eligible equipment: a programmable thermostat for a $25 rebate or a Wi-Fi thermostat for a $100 rebate.

If you’re a commercial customer, GasNetworks also has three rebates. Incentives like these are for commercial heating systems, water heaters, and kitchen equipment. When you replace your commercial furnace, boiler, or other heating component, you can get back as much as $10,000 in a rebate! Water heater rebates and incentives are available for certain kinds of on-demand tankless water heaters, condensing water heaters, and high-efficiency indirect water heaters.

A $1,000 commercial kitchen equipment rebate exists for qualifying ovens, fryers, griddles, steam cookers, and pre-rinse sprayers. High-efficiency kitchen equipment models can save 15–20% compared to the energy that older models use, saving you money on monthly utility bills in addition to the rebate incentives.

If you work in the industrial environment, you can receive a $750 rebate for the purchase of natural gas-fired infrared heating equipment (low intensity). You can receive up to five rebates per installation if you purchase multiple units. This type of equipment saves an average of 25–40% more energy than conventional models. When you purchase your plumbing, heating, and gas equipment through Kingston Plumbing & Heating, Inc., you automatically become eligible to turn in an application for these residential, commercial, and industrial rebates.

How to Receive Your Rebate

To apply for your GasNetworks rebates, you must submit the necessary application and documentation. Visit our rebates page to download the application. Follow the link to the GasNetworks’ Rebates Page, and you’ll find a center for rebate assistance. You may apply for your rebate online or via mail. Simply select the type of customer you are (residential or commercial), find the system you plan on having Kingston Plumbing & Heating, Inc. install, and download the appropriate application.

The application will request certain documentation for your installation. Your Kingston Plumbing & Heating, Inc. installer will give you an invoice with the model number needed for these applications. Of course, to receive this information, you must go through with the actual installation of your equipment.

Once you submit your rebate application online or mail it in, you can track the status of your rebate. Find the link on our website. It’s important to note that GasNetworks must receive your rebate application within 60 days from your installation date.

After GasNetworks reviews and verifies the information in your application, they’ll send you a rebate. Your rebate will be in the form of a check for the amount you’re eligible to receive.
